This is a great country and I just love living here. Here we are on our anniversary. At home, an anniversary is celebrated by the couple and maybe a few friends or relatives if it is a “big” one. Here, it is a day for congratulations and celebrations and gifts from everyone. I went to the flower shop and bought the garlands we’re wearing. The bouquet is a gift from Sanjeeve, the flower wallah.
We got flowers and small presents from a great many people, including our favorite gift of all time and my favorite thing in India. Lakshimi, our housekeeper gave it to us. We have it in our bedroom. I smile and get happy whenever I look at it. You will too.
